Join Mounafanyi this Saturday morning for a performance at the PSU Farmers’ Market, located in the South Park Blocks between SW Hall & SW Montgomery in Portland, OR! We’ll be starting off the day at the Farmers’ Market, from 9-10am. Our performance will include dynamic drum and dance arrangements, as well as encouraging audience participation.
This performance is the first in a series of Farmers’ Market shows Mounafanyi will do through spring and summer of 2011. Sponsored by the Regional Arts & Culture Council, our Farmers’ Market performances are designed to bring the drum and dance traditions of Guinea to a wide audience, encouraging musical, as well as cultural understanding. Here are the dates for our other Farmers’ Market shows… write them in your calendar and join us this summer for a series of great performances!
